Geek of the Week - 18.06.2010

Thomas Halley sent in this weeks geek feature.
Thomas sent me this video which I thought was worthy of a share. It's a sound installation in which the movements of aquatic creatures are used to create electronic ensemble sound tracks. I studied a lot of this kind of stuff at university and so it's something that interested me. A quiet Ensemble combines art, technology and nature to create music. Quintetto won third prize at the "International Contemporary Art Prize - Celesteprize" in Berlin. Quiet Ensemble was founded by Fabio Di Salvo and Bernardo Vercelli in 2009.
Thomas Halley will also be appearing on my podcast in the next week or two with his 3 hour, 111 track megamix... So look out for that!
