Summer Trends and How To Work Them
Want to follow some of the hottest trends this summer?
and look chic while doing so? Follow these helpful hints on how to wear trendy clothing items. Trends aren't always flattering but there are ways to incorporate them into your summer wardrobe. I am going to tell you what and how much you should incorporate and give you different ideas on how to work the latest trends!
The #1 Rule-The Three M's
The number one rule to follow when looking to try a trend is to follow the very simple Three M Rule. M number one stands for Moderate! You never want to over do it! Less is more, That is always key when looking to wear a trend. You do not want to look like a fashion victim and the number one way to do that is to wear too much of one trend at one time. There are only a few exceptions to that rule.
The second M stands for Mix and applies to select trends but its good to always keep in mind. When wearing overbearing trends mix it with a neutral color to tone down the look. This is important when it comes to some trend but not to others. It all depends on what the actual trend is.
Finally the third trend stand for Match. That is very important when again wearing select trends. For example you don't want to wear leopard print and zebra print at the same time. Just remember if the animal with said print would attack the other one there is probably a problem and your outfit is going to clash. The same applies for bright colors, prints, and textures.
Summer Neon's?
Summer means laying on the beach or by the pool sipping on your favorite cocktails (margaritas or Cosmo's for me) and soaking up the sun. Most people start planning vacations and day trips to get away from it all. That means planning or packing a getaway wardrobe. After a long hard year you should be ready to lighten and brighten it up! Summer trends reflect that notion. The Brightness of the neon colors will not only keep you feeling uplifted and full of energy but will also keep you looking fabulously beach-chic! Neon's may not be the most flattering all over the body...you don't want to look like a highlighter exploded on you! You want to moderate how you work the neon trend. A clean white one Piece with a fabulous necklace and a bright neon heel Will take it up to the next level! Another good idea is to wear a neon sheer cover up over your bathing suit and neon flip-flops. There are ways to work this trend and look chic! This trend could work for everyone depending on how you style it! One safe way for neon to work is to always stick to accessories...unless of course you feel confident enough to work them on your body! Even with a good body too much of this trend is a Fashion Don't!

Nautical
One of the most classic trends is jumping aboard this summer is the preppy-chic nautical look. The colors I suggest to making this trend work are red and navy. Those colors are generally figure flattering, classic, and fun. Most can play with this trend and still be on the safe side. There are so many unique flattering options for everyone to choose from. Stripes, Polka Dots, and rope exemplify the nautical look. You can choose to go really classic or modern and funky, There are options out there. Choices are on every end of the spectrum from classic to extreme and modern. This trend never really goes out of fashion. Every year it is chic at the beach! It is safe to say that this has become a summer classic more then a summer trend. There are different variations of it out there but there is always that classic look. This trend is where the rules don't apply as much and you have more leeway to just have fun with it.

Metallic?
This summer metallic colors are going to be just as popular as bright neon colors. The good thing about metallic is that you can incorporate them into your everyday wardrobe easily and they do look good on most people. When looking to wear metallic colors make sure it is in the details of the clothing. It is still a good idea to not over do it! There can really always be too much of a good thing! No one wants to look like they are wrapped in tin foil. Out of the three M's I would advise you follow the first rule when it comes to this trend. Moderation is everything when it comes to Metallic!
